Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth.  The implants are tiny titanium posts which are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a stable foundation for replacement teeth.  Because implants are much stronger than natural teeth roots, they are immune from cavities.

Dental Implant Procedure

Immediate Implants or "teeth in an hour" are becoming a popular choice.  Often, teeth that are badly broken or infected can be removed, and implants can be placed, in that same appointment.  This allows our patients to leave with beautiful replacement teeth the day they come in.  For some patients, the placement of dental implants is a two-step process.  First, the implants are placed within your jawbone and begin to integrate with the bone.  After the implant has bonded to the jawbone, Dr. Butterman will make your new teeth--crown, bridge or denture, which will ultimately improve both function and aesthetics.  Most patients do not experience any disruption in their daily life during the implant process.
